Hospital & Nursing Home Visitations

convalescent homes 004.jpgHolidays are a time to be with family. For many of our elderly or ill brethren, however, the Holidays are not the joyous time they were meant to be. Since its inception in 1973, Chabad volunteers led by Rebbetzin Chaya D. Levitansky have brought warmth and cheer to residents and patients in S. Monica area hospitals, retirement and nursing homes. Prior to the Jewish Holidays and the Jewish Sabbath, volunteers and staff of Chabad of S. Monica visit Jewish residents at area hospitals, retirement and nursing homes. Volunteers bring Shabbat and Yom Tov goodies and arrange holiday parties and pre-Shabbat programs. Whether the blowing of kosher week 142.jpgthe Shofar on Rosh Hashannah, Sukka Mobile on Sukkot, Daily Menorah lightings on Chanukah or Megillah reading and Shalach Manot on Purim, Chabad is always there to afford the patients and residents the ability to perform whatever special laws and commandments are associated with the upcoming holiday.

If you know of a patient who is in need of a visitation please contact us at 310-453-3011 or email us at thechabadnik@thechabadnik.org
