The Campaign
WHAT MAKES A WARM JEWISH HOME AWAY FROM HOME?

Is it a gathering place for people with common interests? Is it fueled by a yearning to belong or a longing to grow with others? Is it defined by a rabbi, an agenda or one’s level of observance?

Chabad at SMC was born out of these questions. The answer to this began in the fall of 2007 as a small hub of Jewish life in the living room of Rabbi Eli and Mirel Levitansky's home. Today the answers continue to grow as we build this most beautiful Jewish home away from home for thousands of SMC students.

About Chabad at SMC
The Chabad House at SMC is the home away from home for the 4000 Jewish students. From Shabbat dinners to Israel trips, Torah study to counseling, students have a campus address they turn to.

But the SMC Chabad can't do it alone. They are a financially independent organization, wholly dependent on parents, alumni, and friends for their generous support.
